Ever wonder why fast food puts you on the fast track to poor health?
Check out these photos I took recently—one of a typical fast food meal, and the other of my version of “fast” food. Can you see (and taste?) the difference?
I took this photo below of the McDonald’s meal few weeks ago at Healing Insights, a colonic hydrotherapy clinic in Woodbury, Minnesota.
It’s a fast food meal that they purchased on March 2, 2009—and it’s been sitting out ever since.
March 2009—that’s exactly four years ago!
The sign says “This McDonald’s meal did not mold! Bacteria did not decompose the chemically treated food.”
This is not real food. I’m not lovin’ it! And neither is your body.
Not all “fast” food is bad food.
When I was in a hurry and on the run last night, I knew I didn’t have time to make a full dinner from scratch. But I’ve learned how to still eat healthy when I’m on the run.
So this is what I had instead.
This is my version of “fast” food:
Thai Curry Noodle Soup (gluten free – with rice noodles!) from Noodles & Co. And a side salad I made myself with organic lettuce mix, raw walnuts, organic cranberries, half of a pear and vinegar and oil with Herbamare seasoning.
See all the colors? The smell is divine and it tastes delicious!
I’m lovin’ it! 🙂
What are your favorite “fast” and REAL food options that you enjoy? I’d love to hear what you put together.
